Students will understand and appreciate the intricacies of the human body; bone joints,  muscle attachment, tendon attachment and eye hand coordination.

 

Your own two hands will operate your Mechanical Hand.

It is not to be from some kit or prefabricated components. The attached wrist must not be longer than 18".  This is where a hand grip, controls, cables, wires, springs and strings can be mounted.

Be a minimum of adult size and not larger than 8.5" x 11" (not including the wrist).

Grip a Styrofoam cup full of water and lift it to your lips. Return to a flat position

Inventors Hall of Fame (Automatic A+)Complete All the above plus:

Palm flexes at the wrist a minimum of 60 degrees.

Pick up a 16 ounce hammer and drive a 6 penny nail 3/4"  into a piece of soft pine (using standard hammering motion). Release the hammer and return to open flat position.
