  3. Assessment:

Assessment is based on participation and attendance. Students who do not participate in ASB Leadership activities will be excused from the class. This may affect standings for sports, ASB office, drama, and/or band participation – be a leader! Students who are absent nine times will receive a fail/NC for this class regardless of reason and will be dropped. Students who cut (unexcused absence) three times will be dropped. Each tardy will receive a special assignment or detention after class. After the fifth tardy, the student will be dropped and receive a fail.

    Behavior Incentives:

You can earn the opportunity for a chance at erasing tardies or absences and getting excused from clean up of events by being on time and living up to the expectations of the class. If you meet this requirement, then you will be eligible to give Mr. Keller a number between 1 and 50. If that number comes up on the wheel of fortune, then you will receive your desired wish. Only one spin is attempted per week; however, if the wheel lands on the spin again, the wheel will be spun once more. The students who are eligible for the spin must tell Mr. Keller what their choice is for the week before the wheel is spun.

  4. Expectations of Behavior and Classroom Routines:

      1. Expect and Give Respect to Everyone

      2. Be Prepared

      3. Leave inappropriate materials and attitude outside of classroom

      4. Settle for better at all times

      5. Attend every activity, dance, class, and/or meeting. 3 unexcused absences = dismissal

      6. Participate in every activity:

      7. Dress Up

      8. Show Enthusiasm

      9. Get others involved by roaming the halls and "pulling" them in

      12. Keep ASB/Leadership room clean, and don’t take candy, soda, water, and/or items that have been purchased by ASB. If you take something you will be expected to replace it.

      13. Get to classes, meetings, rally readies, Carmel Hall Decorations, dance decorations, and lunchtime activities on time.

      14. Expect conflict but work through it. Except responsibility and help others understand what you want by leading with example. Don’t worry about how others act – you can only control you.

      15. Plan ahead for an activity/dance two weeks in advance. Expect for the worst, best, and get enough volunteers before the event in case someone refuses or doesn’t show.

      16. Know that people are depending on you. Be where you should be and ask what you can do to help. Plan appropriately if it is your event. You can’t expect people to know what to do if there is no plan on paper and made visual for them. Learn what should be done for the future.
