DRIVER’S EDUCATION/HEALTH
DESCRIPTION This is a one semester class that includes seven weeks of the state mandated Driver’s Education program and eleven weeks of health. The health class includes programs on drugs, alcohol and tobacco awareness and information on sex education.
COMPUTER APPLICATIONS
DESCRIPTION This course continues the PGUSD technology curriculum. Develop proficiency using PC Microsoft Office Suite Applications: 10 Word, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer; 2) Intermediate competence using MS Publisher; 3) Basic competence using MS Excel, Access, Adobe Photoshop and Creative Suite.
Introductory to basic competence using Macromedia, Web Studio 8 introductory competence are developed: Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks. Goal: Develop and demonstrate skills to individually and in groups to research, complose, edit, revise, publish (written & orally) superior presentations or complex projects. CD/DVD, website and paper documents and multimedia will be created and published. Exceptional visual, written and oral communication skills are developed and implemented. Technical work skills for an administrative job are achieved.
