All officers must uphold the PGHS ASB constitution and bylaws and accept the following responsibilities and expectations:

  1. Maintain a 2.0 GPA with no F’s
  2. No outstanding behavior referrals
  3. Attend weekly ASB meeting and other meetings as required before, during, and/or after school
  4. Carry out the duties of your office as outlined in the constitution (see attached)
  5. Participate in and help coordinate ASB activities (e.g. dress up for theme days, get other students involved, set up & clean up dances, lunchtime activities and rallies, help build class float/boat and decorate Carmel Week Hall, meet with class advisor once a week (class officers), coordinate prom (9th-11th), etc.
  6. Attend CADA, CASL, CASC, or other leadership training opportunities when offered and can be afforded
  7. Prepare a speech/video for lunchtime/morning announcements and/or election rally outlining reasons for running
  8. Sign up for Leadership class (see Activities Director if there is a schedule conflict)

To be placed on the ballot, this petition must be signed by ten(10) PGHS students and two (2) staff members. Please inform the staff members that they will be asked to write a recommendation (letter or e-mail from their account) for you.

Return this form to the Activities Director or the ASB Clerk (Attendance Office/Student Store) by August 29th. In order to run, you will need to attend a mandatory meeting on August 30th in room F2 at lunch.
